Our new tree.

The last couple of weeks have been pretty eventful. We replaced the old blue '94 Cavalier. Sad to see it go but it finally gave up the ghost. It was only a matter of time and we knew it. We replaced it with an '03 Hyundai Sonata. Wait, I think I have a picture on here somewhere. Here it is-

We like it so far. It's really just a relief to have two reliable cars now. Truly.

Also, we've been working a lot in our yard lately. Last weekend, we planted new shrubs in the flower beds. (We had to replace the ones that didn't survive over the winter.) And this week, we bought some trees for the yard! For those of you who are back East- Out here we have to plant trees in order to have any. It's sad but
true. Here's a pic of Coleman with our favorite, our "shade" tree. It's a Sycamore.

Funny story, we bought this HUGE tree and put it the back of our truck only to realize when we got home that we had absolutely no way of moving it out of the truck. Will started to freak a little but thankfully, a landscaper that we've used in the past was available to come with a few of his guys and plant our trees. We were so thrilled to see all the trees in the ground and we officially have the largest tree in the whole neighborhood!

And last but not least, Coleman graduated preschool! His class celebrated by having a end-of-year family picnic. Coleman got to ride a horse and Cooper kept himself busy playing with fly swatters and bubbles.

(<---this is a great way to keep toddlers busy, by the way.)

It was really fun for Coleman to go and give gifts to his teachers and to say goodbye. He drew pictures for all the teachers aides and we put together a small gift for his teacher. Coleman was really lucky to have such caring teachers the past two years. He's grown so much and he's more than ready for kindergarten. We are so proud of him! We love you, Coleman!

Wow! You guys had a busy week! I'm glad that you guys found another car! I hope this one last you guys for another 10 years or so. A newer car should be a lot better. The trees look great! I can't wait to see them the next time I come! Coleman...going to kindergarten. I can't believe it! I still remember when he was kicking his leg on the bouncer in your old basement apartment. Boy, they sure grow up fast!

Congrats on a new car! How exciting! I think those Sonatas are really nice looking!

We're in the same place as you guys as far as trees are concerned. Our neighborhood is very well established, but our lot had zero trees until we received one as a wedding gift four years ago.

I can't imagine Jonathan going to kindergarten--you seem to be taking it really well! It's just amazing how quickly time passes!
