Sledding with the Myers

What a fun day we had today! Jenn (Myers) and I were chatting on Friday about our plans for the next day. She mentioned that they were going to buy a sled and try out a hill in Eagle Mtn. that Gary had heard of. I said, "Sounds great! Count us in!" or something to that effect. (Thanks again, Jenn, for allowing me to invite us along on your family outing!)

Will had never been sledding before (being from S. Carolina and all) so it was a real adventure for us. If you know us at all, you probably know that we are not real keen on the whole "go-out-in-the-snow-and-freeze-your-buns-off thing" but it happened to be a beautiful, sunny day and luckily not too cold. A perfect winter day- if there is such a thing.

The men and children took to the hills quickly and must've gotten bored with the speed they were going because they decided to take it up a notch on the steeper hills. Here's Gary giving the ol' heave-ho to Will who is on the sled with Coleman and Madi.
And here's what happens next-

They nearly run over that kid and then swerve and plow over a tree! What were you thinking guys?! (Gary, next time, push a little harder. We were just inches from our first America's Funniest Home Videos entry! Geez!) I think that they hit the ramp partly, too. That video is just so close to something really exciting happening, isn't it?

Anyway, fun was had by all and here are a few pics to prove it!

Looks like so much fun! Wish we were there to see the excitement. I gotta find out where that hill is cuz we got a sled too! And I have been dying to take Talon out with his new snowsuit and boots. So the next time you guys go out there, give us a call!

How in the world you manage to still look completely adorable bundled up in the snow amazes me!

As I am typing this, Louisville is getting the first real snow we have had in years. While I don't think we are going to go sledding, Jonathan is hoping to build a "noman" tomorrow.
